Counseling & Therapy Services

Welcome and thank you for visiting!  I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you through your current season of life.  I follow an integrative approach to psychotherapy (incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy skills, mindfulness, and interpersonal therapy), uniquely tailored to your needs and goals, and one that is respectful of your cultural context (broadly defined).  My practice is guided by my personal and professional values:

  • Respect

  • Compassion

  • Validation

  • Authenticity and Honesty

  • Empowerment

  • Holistic, spiritually-integrated (if desired and helpful)

  • Humor (respectful)

In addition to working on concerns such as depression, anxiety/stress, grief, life transitions, and marital conflict, I have specialized training in treating trauma/post-traumatic stress disorder, having completed most of my clinical training as well as my predoctoral internship at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (Houston, TX), working with military, non-military, as well as sexual trauma (using CPT & PE) involving both men and women.

Many people also pursue therapy to facilitate deeper self-knowledge (i.e., get to know themselves better), to explore matters relating to one’s life meaning or calling, and to set and achieve more refined personal or professional goals.

My commitment to you is that I will work with you and bear witness to your story in respect, honesty, integrity, and compassion.
